Digital Presentation

This year the Dorothea Mackellar Poetry Awards is celebrating 40 years since its inception in 1984. This year we received nearly 7,200 entries from over 530 schools.

The digital presentation includes messages from:

• Federal Minister for Education, Hon Jason Clare MP
• Federal Member for Parkes the Hon. Mark Coulton MP
• Rebecca Newman – Primary Section Judge
• Karen Comer – Secondary Section Judge
• Welcome for Country performed by Mitchum Neave from Gunnedah.

Life member, Anne Knight OAM provided the artwork for this year’s trophies.

We thank all the teachers, students and parents who entered this years competition, the poems have been inspirational.

We look forward to seeing next year’s entries!
